• Alcohol & Drug Counsellor

1 Full Time Permanent Position for AOD/CEP counsellor through the DHB & 1 Fixed Term 12 month Contract through Rubicon. Both can be applied for here.

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, positive individual to join a professional team working with young people ages 11-19 who have substance use in the Whangarei and Kaipara District.

Rubicon is a multi – disciplinary team that provide private and confidential services in counselling, Family/Whanau support, Drug Testing, Group Work, Mentoring, Psychology, Nursing Care and Alcohol and Drug Assessments and Treatments.

We are looking for one full time AOD/CEP counsellor and one fixed term 12 month contract. Ideally, we would like these people to have a recognized qualification and be a Registered Practitioner, however we will employ someone with a minimum relevant Level 5 qualification willing to become registered with the support of Rubicon to fill these vacancies.

We want someone who is positive and professional who can work with the team. The successful applicant will be required to deliver comprehensive assessments, counselling and support along with provide culturally appropriate services for youth and whanau.

As a Rubicon representative you would also work with Schools, Police Youth Aid, Te Roopu Kimiora, Māori Health Providers/Iwi organisations, Hapu and Iwi, Advocacy Groups etc.
